Hello, my name is Paul Maher and I set up dreamtimetheatre in 2010 to bring new drama to new audiences in West Tipperary; drama that is reflective of life in contemporary rural Ireland.
Although the first 5 productions were all written by myself, I am also interested in producing work by other writers and so in 2013 we will present The Beauty Queen of Leenane.
Biography
I grew up in Fethard, Co Tipperary and trained first as a psychiatric nurse and then as a psychotherapist. I have always had an interest in plays and writing, but it took 20 years of endless failure and frustration before my first play saw the light of day.
I am married to Maggie Crosse, who is a yoga teacher and I live in Annacarty, near Dundrum in County Tipperary.
